Crowns, Inlays and Bridges

savay-dental-centre-126 Have you suffered a damaged tooth through trauma, decay or general wear?

If so, you need restorative treatment to restore the tooth’s lost structure and strength. That’s where our experience and expertise in all areas of restorative dentistry comes in to deliver you the perfect long-term solution. At Savay Dental our restorative treatments include crowns, inlays and bridges.

Dental crowns

Dental crowns are used to strengthen teeth that have been damaged by decay or trauma. We use them to:

  • Mend broken or chipped teeth
  • Replace old fillings
  • Strengthen a tooth following root canal treatment

Our modern crowns are made from porcelain or ceramic for a natural finish. Crowns are strong and durable and match your natural teeth exactly, so it’ll be just like having your real tooth back.

Inlays

Inlays work in a similar way to fillings and we place them in the cusp tips of your teeth. They are used to replace old or damaged amalgam fillings and fit inside the cavity to protect your tooth against decay. Our inlays are easy to clean and make an excellent alternative to direct restorations.

Bridges

Dental bridges are used to replace missing teeth. As well as restoring your smile’s natural beauty, bridges also stop the surrounding teeth from leaning into the gap left behind. Eating and speaking can be difficult with missing teeth, so a bridge restores the smile’s functionality as well.

A bridge is essentially two crowns attached together with an artificial tooth between them. It is bonded onto your teeth so that the artificial tooth fills the gap left by the missing tooth. The bridge procedure is simple at Savay Dental and our bridges last between 10 and 15 years.

Patient Testimonials**

I have been a dental patient of Sachin Patel for many years. I am a very nervous patient and Sachin is always gentle and takes time to explain the procedures before he starts any treatment.

Dawn

I was a very nervous patient who hadn’t been near a dentist in over thirty years. What a find! He instantly put me at ease and explained fully the treatment that I would require.

Barbara (a very satisfied patient)

We cannot speak too highly of his abilities as a first class and ‘up to date’ dental surgeon. He has enormous skill and ability and combines these qualities with a lightness of touch, ‘soft hands’ and a caring manner.
